Purpose: The purpose of scholarly paper is for students to research and discuss the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical and diagnostic evaluation, and evidence-based management of a designated disease process covered in the NURS 6114 course.

Assignment Requirements:

• The assignment must be typed and submitted to faculty as a Microsoft Word document.

• The assignment must be double-spaced using APA format for paper formatting, citations, references.

• The body of paper should be 8-10 pages in length (excluding title page and references). The body paper should not exceed 10 pages. Faculty graders will not grade any content written past the 10 page limit.

• A minimum of ten (10) scholarly references published in the last five (5) years in peer-reviewed journals is required. Classic/seminal works that have been published beyond the last five years are acceptable and may be included for historical context, however these do not count towards the 10 reference minimum. Evidence cited in the scholarly paper should be from clinical research studies and case reports from primary sources/peer-reviewed medical and advanced practice nursing journals published in the United States and Europe. Online clinical-decision support repositories (E.g., UptoDate) may not be used for this paper.

• The course coordinator and faculty reserve the right to utilize anti-plagiarism technology/software for all submissions.

• Students can anticipate receiving graded feedback on the assignment on Monday, 11/30/2020.
