Overview

In this assignment you will demonstrate your ability to find content in the Publication Manual, explain assigned content and academic issues, and demonstrate current APA formatting. This is a major written assignment in this course.

Instructions

In preparation for this assignment students will need to know how to access the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, either the eBook in our course resources in Canvas, or a hard copy of the Publication Manual acquired elsewhere. The product that you submit into Canvas for this assignment will include a title page, and 3-5 pages of written content addressing the questions below.

This is not a group assignment. Complete this assignment on your own using the Publication Manual. Use the entire manual, not just the chapters that were specifically assigned for this Module.

Download the Essay: APA Manual Treasure Hunt Template, save it on your computer and rename it so you can create a properly formatted title page using this phrase as the title: APA Treasure Hunt. This will become the actual title page that you submit with this essay. Fill in the rest of the information on the title page with your information.

After the title page, begin a new page to begin your content. For this assignment, do use levels of headings as assigned in the instructions below. You can find information about the content and formatting for levels of headings on Table 2.3 in the Publication Manual.

At the top of your page two in your document, where you begin writing, re-write the title of the document. Notice how this looks on the Essay: APA Manual Treasure Hunt Template. Also, see the sample on page 61 in the Publication Manual for re-writing the title at the top of this page.
