Reflect on the following points:

1. What are the most important factors for the registered nurse to assess when dealing with a female refuge who is exhibiting flashbacks from trauma? Discuss cultural considerations, therapeutic communication techniques and language barriers.

2. Discuss common triggers for this population and describe how the RN can assist to decrease the effects. Include examples of collaborative care and the interprofessional team.

1. Identify two (2) advantages and two (2) disadvantages of technology as they apply to the perinatal setting. Explain your answer.

2. Discuss strategies the tered Nurse can employ to reverse the two identified technology disadvantages. Provide a rationale for each strategy indicating how it results in the provision of safe, quality care in the perinatal setting.
