Potential Research Topics

After completing this week's readings. as well as reflecting on the types of in-depth knowledge you will need for your major/career and some of your strongest academic and personal interests, write a 1-3 paragraph post that addresses the following:

1) What general topic area interests you, or relates to your major? Explain how or why you developed this interest.

2) How might you narrow that topic into a research question or arguable claim, and/or what questions do you have about doing that?

3) What ideas do you have (or, if you've started searching, what success have you had) in terms of locating academic sources related to this topic?

After posting, leave a substantial (3-4 sentences) reply to at least 2 classmates. Consider your own prior knowledge of your classmate's potential topic(s), as well as the topic's relationship to relevant current events and questions you have about the topic.
