ORGANIC CHEMISTRY LAB REPORT (TYPED) : DETERMINING CAPILLARY TUBE MELTING POINTS

Lab Report should contain the following sections:

Calculations - If there are any calculations you should clearly, and logically, show all your work to receive full credit.

Results and Discussion (typed) - Explain your results, referring to chemistry theory where appropriate. Did the data conform to what was expected? (This does not mean the same thing as if the experiment was successful or not!) What does it show in relation to the experiment? If the results are not what was expected explain why. Possible sources of error.

Conclusion (typed) - briefly restate any final results, or conclusions that can be drawn from the experiment.

References (typed) – any sources consulted for the writing of the report.
