Mobile Healthcare Technology

Purpose

As a professional nurse it is important to have an understanding of the technological resources available to patients and communities that link back to the healthcare setting. Utilization of mobile devices and health portals can provide information to support understanding of current medical conditions. The purpose of this assignment is to identify a practice-related need that would benefit from mobile technology or mobile access health information, such as a mobile device or healthcare portal. Benefits and barriers to the use of mobile healthcare technology will be explored, along with implications for nursing practice.

Course Learning Outcomes

Through this assignment, the student will address the following course learning outcomes:
