1.     Login to the NETLAB+ using instructions provided (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!) and connect to DC1

2.     Create RAID 1 array for DC1

a.     Open “Disk Management”

b.    Bring Disk 1 Online

c.     Right-click C:\ area and “Add Mirror”

d.    Select “Disk 1” for mirror

e.     Accept conversion from Basic to Dynamic disks

f.     Devices are now synching – “Healthy” is what should be displayed when finished

3.     Assign static IPv4 address to DC1

a.     Open “Network and Sharing Center”

b.    Change adapter settings

c.     Right-click “Ethernet”

d.    Choose Properties for “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP)”

e.     Choose “Use the following IP address”

4.     Rename DC1 from generic Windows-generated name

a.     Open “System” window – Right-click Windows menu, choose “System”

b.    Under the “Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings”, choose “Change Settings”

c.     Select “Change…” to rename the computer

d.    Change the name of the computer to “DC1-U0715353”

e.     Confirm settings and restart the computer

f.     Windows Boot Manager will now prompt you upon boot, choose first option
