MT490 Career Engagement

The internship/externship has provided you with a number of opportunities to develop competencies that you will take away from this experience and drive your career forward. The purpose of this Final Project is to evaluate the successful completion of the course outcomes and the practice of professional competencies through the experiential learning in this course. You will write a research paper to synthesize both your practical and academic learning supported by research. This project will also serve to showcase your experience and accomplishments to future employers.

In a 12 page research paper, report your experiential learning of the course outcomes and professional competencies by answering the following questions:

1. Evaluate your experiential learning related to each course outcome by connecting theories and concepts with your practical experiences.

2. Evaluate your experiential learning related to each professional competency by connecting theories and concepts with your practical experiences.

3. During this internship/externship what were your two most valuable experiences and describe in detail which course outcomes they practiced?

4. Based on the Skills Assessment work you completed, what do you see as your most significant strengths? Discuss how this experiential learning opportunity helped your growth.

5. What challenges do you think you still face and why?

6. What are you going to do to eliminate your challenges?

? The research paper should be in APA format and citation style, a minimum of 12 pages, double spaced, 12 pt Times Roman font. (12 pages excluding title and reference pages).
