Module 5 Psychology Exploration Project: Non-Experimental Design Terms

This is an assignment submitted to me, not a discussion board.

This assignment is similar to our Module #4 Exploration Project.  But here the purpose of this assignment is to gain a full and deep understanding of the differences between Experimental and Non-Experimental research designs.   There are two main parts to this assignment, Part A and Part B.

Feel free to write informally, like a conversation.  :-)

To complete this assignment you will have to carefully study our Module #5 course materials.   You will also have to understand our Module #4 course material. 

Following the guidelines offered in our Module #5 Discussion Board assignment, choose a peer reviewed psychology journal article that is a non-experimental design. 

Yes! You are free to use the same article you used for our Mod 5 Discussion Board.  :-)

Please include Parts A & B in your assignment (submit both in one text box.)

Part A:

Tell me the name of the article, the journal, and when it was published.

Provide a brief summary of the article in your own words.

Identify 4 terms from our Module #5 Study Guide and then relate each term to your

non-experimental design research article.

BOLD each term.

Explain each of the 4 terms you choose and Explain how each term relates to the research article you chose.  Feel free to be conversation in your explanation.  Show me that you understand each term and how each term relates to your article.  That's what I'm looking for here.

Part B:

Clearly explain what you know how Non-Experimental and Experimental designs are different regarding conclusions about cause and effect.   Use examples from you Non-Experimental and your Experimental (Module #4) articles in your explanation of cause and effect and research design.
