Look particularly at quotes from William Preece, William Orton, Darryl Zanuck and Steve Ballmer – all senior business leaders in their field. As an exercise in critical thinking, what do you think influenced their point of view in making the statements quoted in this article?

This question gives you an opportunity to think about what influences leaders and why they may not see certain challenges on the horizon.
