Instructions

For this assignment, you will apply Hofstede’s model of national culture to examine how differences in culture can influence international business practices.

Assignment Instructions

1. After you have completed the assigned reading for Module 2, go to  https://www.hofstede-insights.com/product/compare-countries/ and enter "United States" in the country search box.  This will create a graphic showing the U.S. values for six cultural dimensions developed by Geert Hofstede.

2. Choose a foreign country that interests you, but which you have never visited.

3. Next, enter the name of your chosen country next to "United States" in the country search box.  (If your specific country is not listed in the country search box, substitute a nearby country with similar cultural characteristics.)  Note that the graphic will show a comparison of the cultural dimensions for both the U.S. and your chosen country.

4. In 2 double-spaced pages, address the following points:

· List the name of your chosen country.

· Briefly describe how your chosen country compares to the U.S. in each of the six cultural dimensions. Include an image of your country comparison chart.

· In one fully-developed paragraph, explain how the cultural differences/similarities in your country comparison would affect the way business is done between the U.S. and your chosen country.

Submit your paper as a single MS Word formatted document by the posted due date.

Requirements

· Length: at least 2 double-spaced, 12 pt. font pages, not including title and reference page(s).

· Do not paste quoted content into your paper. Paraphrase your sources.

· Use in-text citations to distinguish every idea that you take from your research.

· On your reference page, list the author, date, and title of each source used in your paper. Provide links or page numbers where it can be found.
