Read Case 18: Apple Outsourcing in China: iSweatshop?, on pages 383-387, and address one of the following questions. Respond with your own thoughts to a post by another student.

1. Do the outsourcing issues facing Apple really concern consumers? Explain.
2. Comment on the results disclosed in Apple’s supplier responsibility report. Should these be disconcerting to investors?
3. Since Steve Jobs’ death, it appears that Apple has become much more transparent with what officials publish about the company. What role do you think audit reports had in this?
4. During audits conducted by Apple at the Foxconn plant, a number of violations were discovered. How did management/leadership at the Foxconn plant contribute to these violations? Were they preventable? How?
