Discuss Linear Regression.
Linear regression is the most widely used statistical technique; it is a way to model a relationship between two sets of variable. It also quantifies the relationship between one or more predictor variables and one outcome variable. Linear regression is used for predictive analysis and modeling. For example, linear regression can be used to quantify the relative impacts of age, gender, and diet (the predictor variables) on height (the outcome variable).
Please make sure you are familiar with the Example Problems in your reading assignments as well as the problems in the videos for this module.
You are required to do the following problems prior to taking the test. Please show your work and explain your answers by uploading it on the same discussion attachment for this assignment.
Question 1
Lieutenant Dan, a personal trainer, was interested in whether or not there was a linear relationship between the number of visits his soldiers made to the gym each week and the average amount of time they exercised per visit. He took the following data.

Question 5
Employers want to know which days of the week employees are absent in a five-day work week. Most employers would like to believe that employees are absent equally during the week. Suppose a random sample of 60 managers were asked on which day of the week they had the highest number of employee absences. The results were distributed as in the Table Below.
