Part 1: Use the provided MRP template to develop a 6-week manufacturing resource plan (MRP), given the following information:
Download theMRP Template
· The finished product being produced requires 1 of component A, 2 of component B, and 0.5 of component C.
· The production plan is to have in inventory, ready for sale, 100 units by the end of each of weeks 1–3 and 200 of the finished units by the end of weeks 4–6.
· All the components A, B, and C must be available at the beginning of the planned production week.
· Lead times from the vendors for A, B, and C are 1, 2, and 3 weeks respectively
· Production takes 1 week.
(For example, you would want necessary quantities of A,B, and C in the factory on Monday morning so that the finished units would be available for sale at the end of that same week.)
Part 2: At the bottom of this template, describe the importance of accurate lead time and bill of material information to have an accurate MRP.
Please submit your assignment.

Instructor's Comments:
Instructor comments: Lessons learned from this past week are generally the same as the assignment recommendations above and the comments that are listed below. I will post these each week in an effort to inform students of the assignment task requirements.
In academic writing, students should strive to be clear and concise in order to convey their ideas in an understandable way. Long sentences composed of uncommon words make for cumbersome reading and often times do not make any sense. Choosing the right words and keeping the prose simple and direct, in general, is the best approach to comprehensible expression.
Academic writing is formal; a few common mistakes to avoid are using slang, sentence fragments, colloquialisms, and contractions. Students should become familiar with the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual Sixth Edition. This important reference details the guidance to follow in academic writing at CTU. All written work, including DB posts, should be in proper academic writing form.
Additionally, ensure that your writing is structured correctly with complete sentences, paragraphs, and proper grammar and spelling. Remember to keep academic writing formal, avoid over generalizing, making unsupported statements, and using personal language. The primary goal of academic writing is clarity, so as you are starting to write, focus on the message and developing the proper APA writing style.
