Current Event Article Summary Assignment

Introduction:

The purpose of this assignment is to learn more about topics from information technology management as well as see their use and presence in our world. This assignment also serves to not only promote but also provide students a chance to demonstrate their strong and quality critical thinking and writing skills.

Assignment Structure: The requirement of this assignment is to submit three (3) current event article summaries from the past year that relate to a topic found in the corresponding textbook chapter readings. The corresponding chapters are as follows:

? Current Event Article #1 - Chapters 1, 2, 3, 9

? Current Event Article #2 - Chapters 5, 7, 11, 12

? Current Event Article #3 - Chapters 13, 14, 15

Article Summary Requirements: ? The article you use should be readily available and not require a subscription to access. ? The article must tie-in to a topic found in one of the textbook chapters per the list above. ? Post a link to your article in the comment box when submitting your summary.

? 300-word count minimum in the body of the summary using APA 6 th edition style. The citations, header text, and reference list do not count toward the word count. ? Submit a reference list with your summary in APA 6 th edition style. The list should be on a separate page that includes the article you chose and any other references you used. ? The summary should include how that article relates to a topic found in the textbook.

? Late submissions are not allowed so please make sure you get them in before the deadlines. Formatting Requirements:

? Times New Roman 12 pt. font ? Double-spaced
