In week 8, you will submit a 5-7 page research paper that involves a health care management topic introduced in the course. The general topic areas that you should choose from are as follows:

• Leadership
• Motivation
• Organizational behavior
• Strategic planning
• Quality improvement
• Information technology
• Financing, budgeting, reimbursement
• Human resources
• Ethics, fraud and abuse

This week, choose ONE topic within these major areas. Submit a one page outline that defines and describes the major areas of research you will focus your paper around. Include an introduction to your topic and a rationale for choosing it, along with major points you will discuss in your paper. In addition to your outline, submit 5-7 references in APA format that you will use as support for your paper. These references should be peer reviewed, scholarly articles and websites that align to your topic. List the references, and write a 2-3 sentence summary for each that explains the correlation to your topic. Use this week's assignment as planning time for your final paper, which is due in week 8.
