In discussion this week, you will examine the impact of sociocultural, socioeconomic, diversity, and lifestyle factors in contributing to disorders such as depression. In addition to possibly triggering or exacerbating symptoms, these same factors (particularly lifestyle choices) can also aid in treatment.



In your initial post, please address the following:

• Describe how lifestyle choices and sociocultural, socioeconomic, and diversity factors might contribute to or cause disorders such as depression.
• Explain how these same factors might aid in treatment or in decreasing symptoms
• Detail how changes in lifestyle might impact a person's symptoms in a positive manner
