Identify at least three heroic archetypes

1. Using the textbook and online resources provided above, identify at least three heroic archetypes and then give examples of each from mythology and/or literature and popular culture. In your description of at least 400 words, be sure to:

• Describe the type of heroic archetype
• Identify at least three heroes that exemplify this archetype
• Explain how this archetype is universal to human experience
• Be sure to document sources at the bottom of your response

2. Following the same steps you used in part 1, identify a Non-Western hero and consider the heroic archetype that could be used to describe this hero in at least 100 words.

3. After you have posted your original response identifying the heroic archetypes of a Western and Non-Western hero, compare your choices to at least two of your classmates. (50 words each)

Try to compare and contrast Western and Non-Western heroic archetypes. What similarities and differences can be found.
