3 page essay addressing dealing with, integrating, and protecting people with disabilities. How should public schools deal with the disabled? SHould disabled students be in segregated classrooms, far from "regular" kids or should they be integrated into every class, from gym to history to english and science? When might separation be preferred? What are the benefits of integration? What are the arguments that support segregation? How well or badly do Individual Education Plans [IEPs} work for meeting the individual needs of specific kids? You must include research to support your arguments; a minumum of three sources. Double-spaced. It should be clear and offer real solutions rather than platitutdes. That is, the paper should make specific recommendations, rather than general statements like, "the disabled should be treated with respect and dignity." That's true, but how do we make that happen? No plag! Please write this paper from a perspective of the disabled should be integrated into classrooms with regular kids, because people with disabilities are part of life...something along those line
