1. Describe one federal agency that is directly involved in regulating the Hospitality setting you are most interested in (for instance a hotel or restaurant). 2. Describe the purpose of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and how the law applies to hospitality, recreation and tourism organizations. Use details from the chapter in your own words throughout your response.

3. The day after serving alcohol to a group of 4 people (who each showed I.D.s to their server) a bar manager was notified that ABC was conducting an investigation into sale of alcohol to a minor. Did Ms. Mitchell, the bar manager, break the law by serving alcohol to an underage student? Are Ms. Mitchell and her business liable for the acts of the underage drinking if her state has enacted dram shop legislation?
