Globalism - Discuss the pros and cons of a global business environment

In this forum, you will discuss the pros and cons of a global business environment and its implications for marketing. While reading and thinking about globalism, remember that it is a proven principle that globalism is good for businesses and their corresponding countries. 

In recent years, we have witnessed an increase in toxic nationalism, with politicians claiming things about the global business arena which are not fact based. For this discussion, do some research about the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which is also briefly covered in Chapter 8. 

For your initial comment, be sure to address the following: 

1. Analyze the pros and cons (at least four of each) of NAFTA. In discussing the cons, remember that no negotiation process can be completed without “compromise.” 
2. Do you think NAFTA requires revision? Explain why or why not.
3. If NAFTA were to be terminated tomorrow, what would be the reasonable course of action for marketing teams to follow to continue to sell in the countries involved in NAFTA?
