When I read your post with examples of health care problems in older adults, I was thinking about the impact that COVID 19 infections. Not only have the administrators been faced with the tragic loss of many nursing home residents, but also the staggering financial burdens. The costs for additional staff, testing supplies, to say nothing of the enormous piles of PPE. On the other side of the financial spread sheet is revenue--and with admissions on hold for weeks, the revenue all but stopped.
So any thoughts on what leaders of nursing homes might have
learned and can be carried forward to this coming fall?
