In 2018 nearly 1 in 10 older adults (5,147,000) lived below the poverty line. The median income was $34,267 for men and $20431 for women.
When we consider this level of poverty and the costs of health care, it is easy to see at least one of the challenges.
As soon to be leaders in the care of the older adult, how might you assist the older adults access community resources to help with the costs of health care and other living expenses?
