Geography - In what direction do the fronts move across the US

Geography
.You can access maps for the next few days showing sea-level pressure isobars and fronts by going to:
http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/medr/nav_conus_pmsl.php?fday=3&fcolor=wbg
1. In what direction do the fronts move across the US? Why?
2. Are fronts associated with high or low pressure systems? Why do think this might be?
3. How many mid-latitude cyclones approach or cross the US in days 3-7? Are these mature, partly occluded?
4. Fill in the boxes on the next page to create a weather forecast for Irvine and New York (or wherever you are currently living, if you prefer!) for the next few days. You can either write the information in the boxes, draw up or down arrows to represent relative changes, or draw line graphs to represent relative changes e.g. for pressure.
Things to include:
Likely average conditions throughout the day e.g. sunny, partly cloudy, rainy
Any possible temperature changes from day to day due to passing fronts
Is atmospheric pressure rising or falling over time (using the isobars)
Any possible changes in humidity due to passing fronts – you could also include possible types/heights of clouds due to passing fronts
Strength and direction of the winds from day to day
