Commercial banks pursued legal action against the credit union industry in the late 1990's indicating that credit unions have an unfair competitive advantage in the lending industry. What support did commercial banks have in relation to their claims? Do you feel credit unions still enjoy such an advantage? What can be done in order to establish equality amoungst the institutions?
