Rent vs Buy Calculator
Taken from Week4/5 homework. Link in Week 5 folder - This calculator will be your worksheet for Week 4/5. I decided to use this one instead of my usual Home Buying worksheet because it easier to use and I think more useful overall. Because it is not an excel spreadsheet, you will be sending me a screenshot of your inputs into the calculator as well as the outputs as part of your financial plan due at the end of the quarter. Make sure to save those screenshot so you don't need to redo them in June when you will turn it in. (Repeat from Week 4 homework)
Retirement Worksheet
· Line 24 -If you do not have a social security number or the “estimator” does not give you an estimate, use the $18,000 that is prepopulated.
· Line 25 – keep at 0 unless you have already established a retirement account and can forecast a number here.
· Line 26 –keep at 0. The goal with this worksheet is to forecast how much you need to save to meet your retirement goals and so lines 35-39 will help you plan your investment strategy for your retirement goal investments.(of course if you have investments already earmarked for retirement and can forecast their value at retirement, you can fill out line 26).
