Goal: The goal is to determine what equality means among human beings and how actions have moral value. 

Course Objective(s):

 Critique the place of reason, emotion and physical action in moral philosophy.

 Choose one of the following topics:

Topic A: Equality and Discrimination

Do you think that it is ever justifiable to treat people differently on the basis of their race or sex or religion or other group characteristics? Explain. Should we further multiculturalism and diversity? Why or why not?

Topic B: Moral Worth

Can you construct counterexamples to Kant's view that actions done for the sake of duty have more moral worth in every case than actions done not in accordance with duty?
