You have learned, from reading the full Week 1 lesson, from reading your assigned textbook pages, and from participating in discussion, about how to preview your readings, how to interact with your readings, and how to determine the meanings of words, as well as how an author's purpose is tied directly to your ability to process information well and to grow as a reader and as a writer.

Now, it is time for you to practice the use of all of these techniques!
