Discussion VLANs

In your original post, answer the following:

  • What is a broadcast domain and collision domain? Why are  these important to networking, and how do they relate to switches and  VLANs?
  • Explain the difference between an access port and a  trunk port. Provide a scenario on a network using each on a switch. Also  explain how you would configure each scenario.
  • What is VLAN tagging? What is a native VLAN? How do they  relate to trunking? How is data forwarded on a network from one VLAN to  another?
  • Provide and summarize at least three switch commands  that involve VLANs. Make sure to be specific to include the Cisco IOS  mode and proper syntax of the commands.
