Discussion Question

The number and proportion of older people in the United States and many other countries are larger than ever, and elderly people are the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population. Older people as a group are subjected to stereotyping and discrimination, a phenomenon referred to as ageism. Given this, speak to a person in late adulthood and ask them question "What it is like to grow old in the United States today?"
