To many this seemed the culmination of the Civil Rights Movement, many witnessed an event they never believed would happen in their lifetime as he took the oath of office. How did the election of President Obama impact you? How did the Civil Rights Movement pave the way for his election? How did voters in 2008 view this election in relation to race relations?
