Overview

Finance is the science of money management and involves investing, lending, and borrowing money under conditions of uncertainty and risk. In the Entertainment Business Finance course, we examine and study how individuals, businesses, and organizations manage money. This week’s discussion provides an opportunity to share your experiences and views as a borrower, lender, or investor.

Initial Post

Discuss two or more of the following questions:

• What experience do you already have with investing, lending, or borrowing money? Have you made an investment? Have you loaned money? Have you borrowed money? Explain in detail. What went well, and what could have gone better?
• What are some questions you have or guidelines you’d like to learn about as an investor, lender, or borrower?
• What is the most interesting or the most challenging part of investing, lending, or borrowing money based on your experience or based on what you have heard from others? 
• If you have no experience with investing, lending, or borrowing money, what do you think will be most interesting about learning about finance? What have you heard about these topics? Look online at a few websites that deal with the topics of investing, lending, and borrowing money, and share your findings. Be sure to include links to the sites you mention.
