1. Generally, non-employee members of any board of directors serve without  pay. As they could face personal liability in certain situations, why do  you think they are willing to essentially donate their time? What  various factors might motivate such commitment?

2.  From an employee's standpoint, what expectations do you have of the directors of a corporation where you are employed?

ATTENTION: This week "directors" means those who serve on the board of directors;  not the aforementioned management level employees.  Also, the note that  board members generally serve without pay, refers to non-profit  institutions.  Members of the for-profit companies are nearly always  paid; sometimes very generously for a part-time job.
