Begin by watching the "Freedom of Speech" Point/Counterpoint videos in Revel and reading the "Brandenburg v Ohio" decision summary here: https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/395/444 osition of the "Freedom of Speech" in Revel and why.

  1. If we as a nation agreed to restrict public speech, what are some of the negative outcomes that could occur?
  2. In the Brandenburg decision, specifically read Point 11. Describe how the Court approached the “clear and present danger” doctrine and what that should mean to protect speech in our current-day world.
