Diversity has traditionally been defined by factors such as race, gender, age, religion, and disability. However, diversity also encompasses a wide range of other qualities, such as education level, personality traits, and work style preferences, among others.  

Read article and answer both questions below.

  1. In your own words, explain the term “affinity bias.” What are some strategies to avoid this type of bias during the selection process, and in the workplace in general?
  2. In order to make the selection process more inclusive, the article suggests presenting candidates with a range of choices regarding how to structure the interview in order to accommodate different needs and preferences. What do you think of this approach? Explain your answer.
