Chapter 11: Discussion

In regard to Labeling Theory:

1. Discuss someone you know or a famous person you believe was falsely labeled. Explain what they were labeled (type of criminal), why and how.  (If you use someone you know, no names, please.)
2. What affect did the labeling have on this person (personally/socially/work/etc.)?

• Write a short essay or paragraph of at least 300 words.
• Use concrete examples/details and avoid generalities.
