Anheuser-Busch (A-B) is considered by many in the United States as "an American Icon". Since 2008, Anheuser-Busch has been under the ownership of AB InBev, which is based out of Belgium. After the merger, there were some calls to boycott Budweiser products to protest the deal.

When considering a brand's country of origin, does it matter who owns the brand? Or does it matter more where the brand originated? Or does it matter more where the product is primarily sold and/or used? Also, consider the relationship between a brand and the location of its parent corporation.
