Discuss the psychosocial context of terrorism (consider both domestic and international contexts for terrorism), explaining which factors and circumstances encourage terrorism to develop? List and describe the various motives and justifications that are characteristic of terrorists, providing examples of each. Be sure to comment, as well, on the following: which type of terrorism do you believe is the most difficult to explain, predict, and control? What approaches might work best with this type of terrorism that you have identified?

Watch the two  video case studies below and comment on the  case of the NeoNazis in the United States; and the second case of Dr. Stanley Milgram’s classic social psychological experiment on obedience to authority, include personality and individual demographics, along with specific background characteristics, relevant to each case.

Case Study 2: Stanley Milgram: Obedience to Authority: The Milgram experiment on obedience to authority figures was a series of social psychology experiments conducted by Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram. They measured the willingness of study participants to obey an authority figure who instructed them to perform acts conflicting with their personal conscience.
