Week 2 Course Project  

 Once teams are a set up and meetings begin to occur, please be sure to discuss with your team the proper forms of communication to be utilized as you create your paper and your presentation.

Utilizing an online collaboration tool, such as Cisco Spark, Google Hangout, Skype, etc. meet with your team and discuss which country you will use for your Course Project. One member of the group will submit a Word document with the names of all of the group members, the name of the country that you've chosen, and a screen shot of whichever online collaboration tool you are using that proves all members were part of the discussion and decision making process.

If all members of a group cannot meet at the same time, additional screenshots can be submitted to identify multiple meetings. However, everyone in the group must be present in at least one weekly meeting.

Week 5 Course Project  

One member of the group will submit a Word document with the names of all of the group members, a content outline indicating how you plan to address key elements of the project, and a screen shot of whichever online collaboration tool you are using that proves all members were part of the discussion and decision making process.

The outline will help you create the narrative for your Presentation (due in Week 7) and should include what you will potentially cover and the references you intend to use. The more that you have completed for your paper at this point, the better things will be for you. You want to have formalized your topics and organized them with main points of interest. For example:

Title Page; Introduction; Body of Paper; Topic Heading; Subtopic 1; Content 1; Content 2; Content 3; Topic Heading; Subtopic 2; Content 1; Content 2; Content 3 . . . and so on Conclusion; Bibliography: References

Please be sure to indicate which team member(s) are responsible for which roles, as outlined in the Course Project page under the Introduction & Resources Module.

Week 7 Course Project  

PAPER

Your Course Project Paper in its final form is due this week. Remember to spell and grammar check, and submit your paper in APA formatting. This includes title page; double-spaced content; indenting the first line of each new paragraph; using proper subtitles; using in-paragraph citations for all quotes, statistics, concepts, or graphics used from another author; and providing a proper APA reference in your bibliography at the end of your paper. The use of the template in the Files section is optional but recommended. See the Course Project page under the Introduction & Resources Module for more details.

One member of the group will submit the Course Project Paper.

Week 7 Course Project  

PRESENTATION

Your Course Project Presentation in its final form is due this week. Group presentation utilizing PowerPoint or Prezi must include audio. All members of the group must present part of the project. Your group may choose to use another presentation software, but it must be approved by the professor. The video should be 10-15 minutes in length and include a bibliography for all references.

Your Presentation should meet the guidelines outlined in the Course Project page under the Introduction & Resources Module.

One member of the group will submit the Course Project Presentation.

Application Paper: "What Makes a Top 100 Hospital?" Your assignment is to visit the website of one of the top 100 hospitals on the list in this link: Top 20 out of Top 100 Hospitals (Links to an external site.). After reviewing the hospital and health system and analyzing its services and organizational structure, you are to write a 500–1,000 word (two to four pages) paper on what you feel has made this facility a top 100 hospital. All papers must be submitted in the APA format, which includes title page and reference page, with APA-formatted references. In the Files section, you will find additional Application Paper information for this assignment.

CASE STUDY ANALYSIS AND WRITE-UP

For this assignment, select any one of the case studies presented in Chapter 17 of your textbook. Conduct a thorough case study analysis of the case, following the guidelines presented at the beginning of Chapter 17 (for our online course, you will be completing this analysis individually, not on a team). And then prepare a case study write-up as described in your textbook, including a background statement, major problems and secondary issues, your role, organizational strengths and weaknesses, alternatives and recommended solutions, and evaluation. Save your write-up as "WK6_CaseStudyAnalysisWriteUp-FLast" (First initial, Last name) and then submit it.
