Underestimating the power of "gendering" in society is commonplace. So much of what we think about ourselves, is to a great extent conditioned by society itself, whether we are someone who identifies as male, female, or neither. Take a look at "Gendered Speech Communities" in chapter 4. In what ways has your experience with "gendering" been good or bad? Perhaps both, no doubt. How has the social construction of gender transformed the American workplace, if at all? Include concrete examples in your response.
