Nature’s Grocer is a privately owned grocery store specializing in natural and organic products, located in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Nature’s Grocer is the only natural and organic grocery store in the town of 4,500 people. An additional 1,100 students of Cornell College, a private liberal arts institution, are temporary residents.

Job Description
Nature’s Grocer
Position: Grocer’s Associate
Education: H.S. Diploma or GED
Job Summary
Assist customers anywhere in the store by answering questions about produce, non-perishable products, meats, and/or cheeses and giving directions to product locations; stock shelves; check out customers; bag customer purchases; and transport purchases to customers’ vehicles.
Tasks
- Answer customers' questions about products and advise customers on product selection.
- Check and total customers’ purchases using cash register, and accept cash or charge card for purchases.
- Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons.
- Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or replenished products.
- Transport packages to customers' vehicles.
