1. How does training benefit a police officer in a stressful situation? Compare that to the “nothing-to-lose” mentality often displayed by the offender. Answer using psycho-physiological terms. 
2. When responding to a crisis, for example, a verbal domestic violence situation, using the transactional analysis listed in your text, how might the officer respond? What may be some things the officer would say to the offender speaking from the critical parent ego state? From the adult state? From the natural child state? Compare and contrast the three.
