After a 3-day whirlwind romance, George says "Lola, marry me?" Lola says "Of course." George then gives her a 3 carat diamond engagement ring that has been in his family for 15 generations since it was liberated from a Spanish treasure ship by an ancestor of questionable repute.
The following week, George gets an email from Lola that says "Sorry. I'm in Tahiti with Norman and the engagement is off."
1.Was there an enforceable contract? Why or why not?
2.If there is a contract, what promises have been exchanged?
3.Where does the ring fit into this contract?
4.Does George have a right to get the ring back? Why or why not?
