You are a junior consultant for a computer networking company. Your first assignment requires that you make a recommendation for a company network based upon the following requirement.

The network will consist of the following:

1. 15 Computer Workstations

2. 3 Network printer

3. The network will consist of one (1) network server (using the Client / Server Model)

4. Use Packet Tracer to design the network.

5. Services to be offered includes:

a. All devices on the network will automatically obtain an IPv4 Class C RFC 1918 address.

b. Ensure that the first 10 IPv4 Class C addresses are reserved for manual administrative assignments.

c. Ensure that the network server offering the services is manually assigned the 7th logical address on the network.

· What is the purpose of the following command and how would it assist in the network configuration and testing command such as ping and ipconfig.

· Explain the term Defense in Depth and state how it would be applicable to the network created above.

· Also explain how the following concepts would add security depth to harden the computer network

· VLANs

· Next Generation Firewall

· HIDS and NIDS

· What the difference between an IDS and an IPS?

· Distinguish between physical and logical topologies.
