You will be required to create the excel spreadsheets and charts. You will then need to create Power Point slides

Select 3 companies in the same industry group and select one number that you can compare all 3 companies over 3 time periods. For example, you can compare the sales in 3 fast food restaurants in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

Pick 3 comparable companies. Comparing McDonalds to Wendy’s is not a fair comparison. In addition, you will need to pick 3 companies that you can find their information online. Most private companies will not share their financial information online.

Please look at where you spend your money. If you have a big gamer, then look at the 3 top video game companies and select a number that you can easily compare them over a 3 year period.

Enter the raw data into a table in an Excel spreadsheet. Create a line chart that shows the number for all 3 companies over a 3 year period. After you create the line chart, insert a trend line projection of one more time period (usually 1 year if you are using 3 years to compare the 3 companies).

Create 5 PowerPoint slides – 1 slide that is a title page for the project that includes your name, the second is background on the 3 companies and the number you used to compare them, the third is a table showing the Excel table, the fourth slide showing the line chart with a trend line projection, and the fifth slide with your contact information..
