The first task is to identify, define and discuss the significance of one concept explored in our course that is important to the field of media studies.

This concept should be drawn directly from the textbook or lecture (please specify the chapter or lecture you found it in), and should be clearly identifiable in either a single word or a very short phrase. Ideally, it will be a concept you've found personally interesting. Your explanation and discussion of this concept must draw upon TWO relevant scholarly sources found in the UofT Libraries (either online scholarly journal articles or academic books).
