Discussion Post: Think about Purpose, Context, and Strategy

As we discussed in class, your Leadership and Communication Strategy is dependent on the Purpose and the Context. And we will learn much more about this as the term progresses.

I would like each of you to come up with a situation that you have observed in the past. It could be a real-life event that you observed or were involved in. It might be something from a TV show or a movie.

FIRST, MAKE YOUR PRIMARY POST. It will include:

SITUATION: Write a brief paragraph describing the situation.

INTENT: Then make a statement about what you think the intent of the speaker/leader was.

THE THREE QUESTIONS OF LEADERSHIP:

· What she or he could have done differently?

· What they could have learned or what you learned?
