Climate Change Witness, Ministry and Organizations Activity

Climate Change Witness 4
You will hear from my friend, Dr. Ben Lowe, as he is interviewed on Theology in the Raw. Ben works for Arocha, which is a Christian conservation organization.
Click on this link to listen to this podcast in which Ben will not only speak to why we should be engaging in climate change action but also some of the solutions that we can engage in.
Again, you will write a 1-page reflection paper about your reactions to her stories. Include things such as: What stood out to you? What did you learn? What are your initial reactions to what was said?
Ministry and Organizations Activity
In this activity, we will research different organizations/ministries that are working to help people adapt to and mitigate climate change. Below is a list of the organizations from which you can choose. Their names have been hyperlinked to their websites.
Once there you should spend some time exploring what they do and why they do it. You will write a small paragraph answering each of the questions listed below.
Climate Stewards
Settled
Climate Witness Project
Plant with Purpose
WEA Creation Care
The Evangelical Environmental Network
1. What is the overall mission of the organization?
2. What specific work does the organization do, and how does this relate to climate change and environmental stewardship?
3. Why do they do what they do? How is what they do found in their faith?
4. What are ways that others can get involved in this work?
