Consider here whether you have ever cared deeply enough about an issue to do something tangible about it. If so, describe the issue and the tangible action. If not, discuss why that may be. Are you a member of any sort of activist groups? Discuss why or why not. For instance, what cultural assumptions play a part in shaping your views? What connotations do you associate with the words "artist" or with the words "activism" or "activist?" How might questioning one's assumptions make a difference? How might revisiting what it means to be an artist and an activist make a difference? How does such work effect social change?
