Family Relationships and Sexual Behaviors in Adolescence

For this discussion, choose one of the options below.

Option 1: A variety of parenting styles are incorporated during adolescence. Identify a parenting style that you have either witnessed or experienced and describe how this parenting style can positively or negatively affect an adolescent and their subsequent attachment styles in other relationships.

Option 2: Compare and contrast the sexual scripts of adolescent boys and girls, and explain the reasons for the differences. How might these change given the choice of genders and sexual identities that are now an option for most adolescents?

Option 3: How would you relate or use the information from options 1 and 2 in your current life, either with your own children or in a professional setting dealing with adolescents?
